In 2022, the City completed a neighbourhood level trail plan for Whitehorse North, which encompasses the MacPherson, Hidden Valley, Forestview, and Mayo Road area. Due to concerns expressed by some residents in the area about the results, we've decided to conduct a public survey to review and help determine whether residents are generally satisfied with the plan or not.

The Whitehorse North Trail Plan identifies existing trails in the area, trail types, and allowable uses. Trails are categorized as either motorized multi-use, or non-motorized throughout the city in order to permit or exclude motorized activities from occurring on them.
You can provide your input via our online survey, or send an email with the subject line “2023 Whitehorse North” to trails@whitehorse.ca.

We will share our What We Heard Report along with the City's decision on a new planning process with Whitehorse North residents and the broader community.
Motorized Multi Use (MMU) Trail: Trails designed and designated by the City to be used by both non-motorized and motorized users.
Non-Motorized Trail: Trails designated to be used by a variety of non-motorized users and restricted to use by all-terrain vehicles. Snowmobiles may be permitted to use non-motorized trails during the winter.
