Consultation has concluded.
The City of Whitehorse is improving its transit routes beginning July 1, 2023.
Following public feedback in 2022, the City went back to the drawing board to see how it could improve the overall transit system with its limited fleet, and still serve as many residents as possible.
These new routes are the result of extensive testing by transit staff over the winter to ensure the changes are achievable and sustainable as demand increases in the coming years.
In 2023, northern routes will be updated and improved, and a new route will be added for Whistle Bend.

In 2023, northern routes will be updated and improved, and a new route will be added for Whistle Bend.
In 2024, routes to the south of the city will be modernized, including more efficient routes for Copper Ridge and Riverdale.
This phased approach limits the impacts to the overall network and gives riders a chance to familiarize themselves with the changes.
These modernized routes will improve reliability, improve service to key areas such as Downtown, high schools, the university, and the hospital, and provide more direct routing to key destinations like the Canada Games Centre.
Check out your new routes today to see how this will impact you!
The City of Whitehorse is looking for input on the proposed changes to the City's transit routes. Leave a comment, ask a question, or interact with fellow transit users.
