The City of Whitehorse is taking aim at graffiti and you can help. Your actions can help reduce the spread of graffiti in Whitehorse and keep our community safe and clean.

Help us tackle this issue by reporting graffiti in our community using our mapping tool, or by emailing bylaw.services@whitehorse.ca.

  1. Record the graffiti
    • Take a photo of any graffiti you see in the community.
  2. Upload your photo
    • Create an account on Engage Whitehorse. Click the map tool below, and upload your photo along with information about the graffiti. You can also provide contact information if you want Bylaw Services to follow-up. You can report graffiti anywhere in the community, it doesn't have to be on your property.
  3. Remove the graffiti.
    • If the graffiti is located on your property, you have a responsibility to remove it within 30 days according to the City's Maintenance Bylaw. The City offers graffiti remover for free at the Frank Slim Building in Shipyards Park.
Reporting incidents of graffiti helps us track where and when graffiti is being applied, which can help us and our partners with enforcement. Research shows the immediate removal of graffiti also serves as a deterrent for future tagging. For more information on graffiti in the City of Whitehorse, you can read our Graffiti Management Policy.

The City has a number of community safety projects related to graffiti in development so watch this page for updates.
