Update #1 - Crestview Water System Improvements
A new watermain has been installed and put in to service from the pump house across Azure Road along Rainbow Road to Squanga Road. Curb and gutters were installed along Rainbow Road and backfill was completed. The areas where asphalt was removed are ready for new asphalt. Paving will occur as soon as possible.
A new watermain has also been installed at Minto Road and will be put in to service in the coming days. Preparation work is happening to install new curb, gutters and sidewalks, which will be followed by paving.
Work on the Kathleen Road watermain is happening this week. The road is closed until further notice.
Route 201 and 202 buses will not be running on Squanga Avenue in Crestview due to construction happening on Kathleen Road.
Passengers that normally use one of the three stops on Squanga Avenue are asked to instead catch their bus at stops on Klukshu Avenue and Azure Road.

On the morning of Thursday, September 5, City crews temporarily shut off water valves as part of the ongoing Crestview Waster System Improvements project. Affected residents were notified in advance.
However, during the work, an additional valve that was supposed to be open was found to be closed, extending the water outage to a larger area of Crestview than initially planned. While attempting to reopen the valve, the valve stem broke, requiring a replacement before water service could be restored. Service was restored by 12 pm on Thursday.
The City apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciates your patience and understanding as we work to improve our infrastructure.
Thank you for your contribution!
